In an interview with Malika Andrews of ESPN, Adam Silver said the NBA has "no plans to pause the season."
Silver also said that he does not understand how pausing the season would help the NBA. “This virus will not be eradicated, so we have to learn to live with it," he said.
Silver added that about 65% of NBA players have gotten a COVID-19 vaccine booster shot. He said the league is looking into ways to limit how long players are out in league health and safety protocols. According to Silver, over 90% of the league's current COVID-19 cases are of the Omnicron variant.
