Celtics sign Al-Farouq Aminu, Norvel Pelle to 10-day contracts

The Boston Celtics are planning to sign 11-year NBA veteran Al-Farouq Aminu and G League center Norvel Pelle to 10-day hardship deals.

ANALYSIS: The Celtics currently have eight players in league health and safety protocols in advance of their Christmas Day matchup with the Milwaukee Bucks. Aminu has played 11 seasons in the NBA and last suited up for the Orlando Magic and Chicago Bulls in 2020-21. Pelle, a third-year veteran, played for the Nets, Kings and Knicks last season. He is currently averaging 8.9 points and 8.3 rebounds with the Cleveland Charge.
