Chicago Bulls to honor Derrick Rose on January 4, 2025

The Chicago Bulls have announced they will honor former no.1 overall pick Derrick Rose on January 4, 2025 dubbed the “Derrick Rose night.”

The Bulls play the New York Knicks on that day, against Rose’s former coach and former Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau.

Rose’s jersey no.1 is still up for discussion if it will be retired.

Rose notably announced his retirement from the NBA a few weeks back after an up-and-down career.

Chicago’s very own Rose was the first overall pick back in 2008. He averaged 19.7 points, 6.2 assists, and 3.7 rebounds as a Bull, making three all-star teams.

Rose was the youngest MVP in NBA history, winning the award in 2011 at just 23 years old.
