Donovan Mitchell declines Team USA invite

Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell has declined an invite to play for Team USA at the Tokyo Olympics, reports ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

While the blossoming star would've found himself right at home on the stacked roster, Mitchell will opt for rehab on his right ankle. Mitchell, 24, likely has plenty more opportunities to represent the country ahead of him – so it'll be a matter of when, not if.

The Jazz fell 4-2 to the Los Angeles Clippers in the second round of the playoffs last week.
