Joe Dumars leaving Kings, will take role as NBA executive
Sacramento Kings chief strategy officer Joe Dumars is leaving the organization and joining the NBA as its Executive Vice President Head of Basketball Operations, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

Dumars was originally hired by the Kings on June 19, 2021 as the special advisor to the general manager. Just over a year later, he became their interim executive vice president of basketball operations before taking on the role of chief strategy officer on September 17, 2020.
