Virginia forced out of ACC Tournament due to COVID-19
The ACC has lost another school from its postseason tournament as The University of Virginia has been forced to cancel its game against Georgia Tech on Friday, the league announced.
Georgia Tech will be moving to the ACC Tournament Championship Game, while the Cavaliers will be headed home. Virginia joins Duke as the second ACC school to have to cancel a conference tournament game. Duke's season was ended, while Virginia will still attempt to play in the NCAA tournament.
Breaking: The ACC announced that the Georgia Tech vs. Virginia game has been canceled following a positive test, subsequent quarantining, and contact tracing within the Virginia program.
