Warriors sign Moses Moody on 3-year rookie extension

The Golden State Warriors have signed 4th year guard Moses Moody on a three-year, $39 million rookie extension, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The deal was negotiated by the Warriors and Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul. Moody, who was drafted no.14 in the 2021 NBA Draft, is one of the key cogs in the Warriors bench around superstar Stephen Curry. He was in the final year of his rookie contract this year.

Moody averaged 8 points in 17.5 minutes in 66 games played last year and he set career highs in scoring, playing time, rebounds, steals and blocks.

Moody figures out to be a key rotational piece this year following a strong preseason, where he had some hot shooting performances.

The 6-foot-7 guard/wing provides length on the perimeter and has steadily improved his shooting entering his 4th year with the Warriors.
