Without further ado, let’s dive into our favorite NBA spread bets for the night portion of Monday's postseason slate.
Philadelphia 76ers (-8) vs. Toronto Raptors
Without Fred VanVleet in Game 5, the Raptors’ chances of forcing another game in this series feel bleak. Joel Embiid is still putting up numbers, even with torn ligaments in his thumb. Also, with VanVleet out, the Sixers hold a massive backcourt advantage thanks to James Harden and Tyrese Maxey.
In the end, we’re confidently hammering Philadelphia to wrap up this series on its home court. Behind big outings from their superstars, the Sixers move on to the second round while also covering the rather large 8-point spread.
Pick: Sixers -8
Player Props: Joel Embiid over 27.5 points, Pascal Siakam over 24.5 points, James Harden over 20.5 points, Gary Trent Jr. over 19.5 points
Dallas Mavericks (-2.5) vs. Utah Jazz
Outside of the battle between the Phoenix Suns and New Orleans Pelicans, this has been my favorite series to watch this postseason. Luka Doncic being back for the Mavericks helps change their immediate and long-term postseason outlook, especially for this nip-and-tuck series ongoing with the Jazz. Utah needs to see Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley find some sort of offensive consistency soon, or they’re in big trouble if Utah wants to advance further in the Western Conference.
Jalen Brunson continues to be a revelation for the Mavericks, and we’re betting big on him stepping up again on Monday night. Hammer Dallas to cover the 2.5-point spread behind fun outings from Doncic and Brunson.
Pick: Mavericks -2.5
Player Props: Luka Doncic over 30.5 points, Donovan Mitchell over 28.5 points, Jalen Brunson over 20.5 points, Bojan Bogdanovic over 2.5 threes
