The Los Angeles Lakers have been doing their due diligence around the league, and expressed interest in Raptors guard Gary Trent Jr., according to league sources.

ANALYSIS: Trent is having a solid year with the Toronto Raptors, averaging 16.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game. The 23-year-old is second on the team with a 36.8% three-point clip. He joined Toronto after being traded from the Portland Trail Blazers last season in exchange for Norman Powell.
