Longtime Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey is reportedly stepping down from his position after working out an exit agreement with owner Tilman Fertitta.

ANALYSIS: Morey was the Rockets' GM since 2007, and played a major role in the sports analytics revolution on the basketball front. Under Morey, Houston made the postseason every year since 2012-13, but never progressed past the conference finals. Rafael Stone, current Rockets executive vice president of basketball operations, is expected to succeed Morey as general manager, according to Wojnarowski.
