"Blazers guard C.J. McCollum says his back fracture won't need surgery and he could resume normal activities after two months of rest," tweeted Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated.
McCollum managed to play through his back pain and he was excellent during the Portland Trail Blazers' first-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers. He averaged 23.2 points, 5.8 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.6 threes and 1.2 steals, while shooting 44.4 percent from the field and 37.1 percent from three-point range.
Despite McCollum's strong play, Portland was eliminated in five games.
