ANALYSIS: Monty Williams led a miraculous turnaround in Phoenix this season, with the Suns finishing second in the Western Conference after missing the playoffs as a whole last year. Of course, Chris Paul deserves a lot of the credit as well, but Williams has pressed all the right buttons in his second year as head coach for the Suns and has the team poised to make a deep playoff run.
Here is Coach Monty Williams on receiving the recognition:
"I hold the utmost respect and admiration for the coaches in this league, so to be recognized by my peers is an incredible honor. Every coach in our league sacrifices a ton to make their teams and organizations better, so this is unbelievably humbling."
