The Minnesota Timberwolves decided to keep a key veteran around past their turnaround season. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Patrick Beverley has agreed to a one-year, $13 million extension.
Beverley is an underrated piece to the Timberwolves' success this season who arrived via trade. Not only is he still a solid defender at this stage of his career, but also a valuable voice within a young Minnesota locker room.
So far this season, Beverley is averaging 9.0 points, 4.9 assists, 4.4 rebounds, 1.1 steals in 26.1 minutes per game.
